What is the best way to learn about the edge computing architecture specifically? I'm thinking something like the venerable SAMS' books
There is a list of pertinent publications on the OEC website. To highlight a couple, you might start with "The Case for VM-based Cloudlets in Mobile Computing" which was the genesis of the concept and then look at "System Infrastructure for Mobile-Cloud Convergence" which is the thesis that produced much of the code base that is present today in our Github repositories.
Professor Satya, who has pioneered Edge Computing here at CMU, also recommended a recent publication of his entitled "The Emergence of Edge Computing" from January of this year.
